Some day I will get my times and post them here - but I can't be asked right now. Yea...I'm lazy.
Sunday Morning
Early sunday morning was very similar to early saturday morning - surprising? Not exactly. I'll skip the fun of having breakfast with a dozen people in a small room and go onto the joys of warm up.
I thought I only had 2 events - but I was suddenly entered into the 4 x 100m womens relay...which was almost right after my 100m back. But onto the back - so for warm up I had to do some back, and I couldn't count my strokes (I can't that well anyhow 'cos flags aren't easy to see y'know) because the flags were BLACK instead of red, white and blue. So it was black on grey, bad contrast. So Jill talked to some people and I was allowed to get tapped (no B4 is supposed to be tapped).
The 100m back was only a dozen events in so I was swimming from fairly early on. The call up room is damn cold - and I got someone to guide me there and down to my lane because it was a lot easier. I went the wrong way multiple times when I went alone. And got confused and lost and everything. So I won the heat, despite never being tapped before.
It's quite a weird experience actually. I wasn't sure when I was gonna get tapped so it was kinda scary I guess. But it worked and I PB'd by 22 seconds.
So then a few events after that I swam the relay (our team was 1/2 East Midlands and 1/2 Greater London). I was exhausted and swimming the 1st leg. We came fifth. I was disappointed.
Next event was 50m free. I don't know where I came in the heat but I was racing against Ellie and other super fast awesome people. I might have come 2nd or 3rd or something. I PB'd by 15 seconds anyway. So it was pretty damn cool.
And pretty much straight after getting changed we headed home. I slept most the way...it was cool anyhow.
